SCOTTISH EVENT AWARDS - Best OCD (Outside Department Caterer) (FINALIST) - 2008

The inaugural Scottish Event Awards honoured the delivery of innovative and successful events held throughout Scotland, which contribute to the success of the leisure ad tourism industry and make our country a more interesting and economically buoyant place to live and work.

This award is open to all caterers in Scotland who provide for private or corporate events in venues, marquees or outdoor, or provide a contracted service to the aforementioned.

The judges were looking for evidence of clear strategic thinking, innovation and effectiveness and the key factor will be the tangible results and proof of effectiveness. In particular the judges were looking for:

* Understanding of the brief or objective
* Tangible results which prove effectiveness
* Innovative thinking
* Design and creativity

The Awards Ceremony brought together all areas of the industry; event promoters, event sponsors, suppliers, venues, strategists and marketers and provided a unique opportunity for all these areas to gather and be recognised and rewarded for the achievements.
