Work for the UK Event Caterer of the Year within our Event Design Team:
Your role will encompass initial contact with our wide portfolio of clients, taking enquiries, supporting the event design team through administration duties, data input and general office duties
With excellent telephone technique you will deal with initial enquiries, offer appropriate guidance to clients and promote “our” venues. You will be required to show initiative to pro actively interact with clients both over the telephone and on a face to face basis.
As the largest independent event caterer in Scotland, responsible for some of the
most stunning events in the country, this is a challenging but rewarding role.
Applicants must have:
Previous experience of a busy office environment

You will posses excellent numerical and data processing skills, as well as an organised and methodical work ethic. Liaising with key clients and customers you will require discretion, integrity and good communication skills.

The Scottish National Portrait Gallery re-opens its doors on 1st December 2011 after a £17.6 million refurbishment programe over the past 2 ½ years. We're looking for a talented and enthusiastic cooks, bakers and kitchen assistants to join our kitchen team at our various cafes situated in some of the most prestigious venues in Edinburgh – National Portrait Gallery and Gallery of Modern Art 1 & 2.
You must be passionate about using the freshest, seasonal ingredients. You will have a creative flair for food, flavours and presentation. All our food is made from scratch to create colourful and innovative hot food, salads, sandwiches, fabulours cakes & homebaking.
You must have:
cooking experience, ideally in a similar environment
hard-working, reliable, heaps of energy and enthusiasm
a wide and varied knowledge of ingredients, cooking techniques

Your role will encompass dealing with our wide portfolio of clients on a one to one basis. Taking enquiries for events in several of Edinburgh’s and Central Scotland’s most prestigious venues,(Castles, Palaces, Stately Homes and buildings of distinction).
With excellent telephone technique you will deal with initial enquiries, conduct show rounds and promote “our” venues. You will be required to chase enquires and convert to an event, to confirm intricate details for all your events, plan and design menus, theme events, organise contracts, negotiate prices, negotiate with suppliers. The role also covers a large administration section A key task would be to ensure that all information is accurately recorded before being handed over to all operational teams as well as assisting in data updates and admin support for the team
