Located just 10 minutes from Edinburgh Castle and Princes Street, it allows you to hold events for between 10 and 250 guests within a historic setting in the City of Medicine. There are four distinct venues within Surgeons’ Hall: The Playfair Building is the flagship building which dates back to 1823. . Dine in the grandeur of the impressive Main Hall amongst portraits of some of the greatest surgeons of the past. Network with colleagues in our inspiring Fellows’ Library, or debate around the boardroom in our elegant Logan Turner Room. The historical Playfair Building offers a variety of magnificent rooms in which to host your events. Both the Playfair Main Hall and Fellows Library are licensed for civil wedding ceremonies.

Quincentenary Hall was completed in 2007 – a modern and versatile building which boasts a purpose built conference space and 3 large break-out rooms. This flexible venue is ideal for both business and celebratory events. The multi-purpose main hall has a sprung dance floor, ideal for ceilidhs and wedding receptions.The Symposium Hall is a wonderful converted church containing a 158 seat tiered auditorium and breakout areas ideal for continuing the debate or enjoying exceptional catering. It also contains a small dance floor, making it a perfect venue for a small private party.

Ten hill place hotel provides quality, tasteful accommodation immediately adjacent to the Venue. It has 78 stylish rooms, four of which are skyline rooms with spectacular views of Arthurs Seat and the Firth of Forth.
