Celebrating in a time machine
Sheer grandeur and considered by many to be Scotland’s finest example of Victorian architecture, the Main Hall was inspired by the designs for Crystal Palace. Unique in Scotland, infinite slender columns and four curving staircases create a sense of grace and elegance.
The grandeur of this magnificent space is a sumptuous backdrop for an unrivalled dinner, film premier party, or award ceremony. Receptions on the first floor balcony afford a bird's eye view of the hall with its ornamental ponds below. The Main Hall is a stunning venue for all types of events including wedding ceremonies and receptions.
The Royal Museum along with the adjoining Museum of Scotland offer breathtaking visual impact of a theatrical pastiche with ingenious lighting transforming the space to great effect.
