LOCATION: Edinburgh | SALARY: £19,000pa | TYPE: Full time

Job Summary:

To work with the marketing team deliver the Company’s On-Line marketing strategy.  Heritage Portfolio and Centerplate are leading catering and events companies with venues throughout the UK.  Working within the marketing team is fast paced, demanding and great fun.  No two days are the same and there will be many different tasks to complete each day.  From promoting world leading visitor attractions to working on Royal events there is a great deal of variety and a chance to make some lifelong memories.

Key Objectives

• To develop and maintain the Company’s Social Media strategy
• To develop Company digital collateral
• To maintain Company Websites
• To analyse Company On Line Collateral

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Create campaign strategy for each relevant venue and events by sourcing, compiling and delivering day-to-day communications to consumers through digital channels including, Facebook, Twitter and other social media platforms
• SEO through web content writing, management and traffic generation
• Creating compelling content for blogs
• Online advertising including Google PPC
• Updating all websites in the Heritage Portfolio and Centerplate portfolio
• Managing online voucher sales, queries and redemptions
• Analysing all websites and digital campaign activity, reporting to the marketing team and making suggestions for the future and for improvement
• Where required, supporting events team with digital collateral and messaging
• Following the social media strategy and ensuring the positioning strategy is always on-trend
• Work with Marketing Managers of Heritage Portfolio and Centerplate UK to ensure all referral website memberships are up to date
• Work with Marketing Managers of Heritage Portfolio and Centerplate UK to ensure all advertising online is appropriate and filter all requests for advertising
• Support Head of Marketing on ad-hoc projects

Key Attributes: 

• This is a demanding role, but one that is very rewarding.  It is imperative that time management and effective working ethics are utilised at all times
• At least 2 years’ experience in similar role, experience of hospitality sector an advantage but not essential
• Be able to communicate effectively and succinctly with personnel of all levels 
• Have excellent English written and verbal skills
• Excellent copywriting skills
• Be organised, have the ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines
• Good understanding of technology such as MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Photoshop, Illustrator, CMS Systems for example
• Experience with Email Marketing programmes
• Experience with SEO and online Analytics (Google Analytics, Trends, Webmaster Tools, Website Optimizer, Keyword Tool, URL Builder)
• Experience and knowledge/understanding of the use of social media and new lines of communication with Web 2.0 and Social Networks (Blog, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google+, Facebook, YouTube) and previous experience of hosting websites and blogging would be desirable
• Have an upbeat and positive attitude
• A good food knowledge would be a distinct advantage
