The Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art comprises two neo-classical gallery buildings, Modern One and Modern Two. Both are set in beautiful parkland grounds (ideal for marquee events) at the west of the city centre, just a 10 minute walk from Princes Street.
Formerly called the Dean Gallery, Modern Two is situated opposite Modern One. The elegant interior of Modern Two houses one of the most important Surrealist collections in the world, with artworks by the likes of Dali, Picasso and Miro, making it an intriguing and undeniably stylish venue for parties, drinks receptions or product launches.
Preceded by an exclusive private view of the Gallery’s exhibitions, the Gallery, grounds and Café Modern Two (beautifully designed as a contemporary take on the coffee houses of Vienna) can be hired for exclusive events from a cool summer party on the lawn to intimate dinners in the stunning double-height Great Hall in the shadow of Paolozzi’s striking sculpture ‘Vulcan’.
