Acorn Award Winner 2016 - Craig Bonner

You are here

One of our key company values is to be ‘proud’ of all that we do and all that we produce. And we’ll tell you what, we couldn’t be more proud of our own Acorn Award winner, Craig Bonner!

The Acorn Awards are run by the national publication The Caterer and are now in its 30th year.  These awards recognise the UK’s top 30 under 30 in hospitality and in an industry that employs over 3 million it is a serious accolade to be able to add ‘Acorn Award Winner’ to a LinkedIn profile!  Craig is the General Manager for Musselburgh Racecourse and our Company Mixologist and came home with his big win on Monday, 13th June 2016.

It’s hard to believe our fresh-faced Craig has been in hospitality for over 10 years and in that time has certainly made his mark at Musselburgh Racecourse.  Managing the catering and hospitality at the venue he’s shown his amazing business acumen in the figure results and his creativity in the new bars that he has created.  This, along with his attitude of going above and beyond for the client and the race-goers ensured that he firmly established himself in this elite group of ‘the brightest prospects in the hospitality industry’.

Not only is Craig an astute business person, he’s our man of the hour when it comes to the drinks offer.  As an integral part of the ‘menu development team’ he ensures that the latest trends in drinks and alcohol are introduced in the menus.  Our lucky clients are blown away when they see the bespoke cocktails and drinks that accompany our already exciting and innovative food offer.

“Huge congratulations from all of us Craig, we’re so proud of you and are delighted that your name now sits alongside other Acorn Award winners such as Marcus Wareing and Nick Nairn!”
