Food Design
When plates arrive at the table, what we want is to turn heads and kind of stop people in their tracks. Because while taste and texture are crucial, we do also like to make a dish a real thing of beauty – show-stopping presentation being one of Heritage Portfolio’s trademarks. We’re not talking fiddly carved radishes and dated garnishes here - our food design is contemporary, clever, often with a dash of fun. The team love nothing more than a witty gourmet surprise, which could be anything from their take on candyfloss or serving consommé in hip-flasks or some such caper.
Pioneers of the ‘ironic canapé - mini burgers or kebabs anyone? - we serve soup in shots, sushi on spoons and ice cream on sticks because we’re the opposite of stuffy. We are strangers to the vol au vent (who wants crumbs down their front?) and we love playing around with new ways of presenting things beautifully.
