Deliciously Made in Scotland….. & Cooked from Scratch!

Our brilliant cooks, and in fact the entire café team, live and breathe the philosophy of ‘from scratch’ kitchens – none of the ‘ready-made’ nonsense- meaning that everything we prepare, cook or bake or is homemade from scratch in our café kitchens every day.

We pride ourselves using the highest quality, seasonal ingredients that we source from amazing local Scottish suppliers. One of our cafes, Café Modern One, has its own kitchen gardens and we use herbs, leaves, fruit and veg from these lovingly-tended plots whenever we can. You can’t possibly source more locally than that!  

Our creative cooks always come up with fabulous, healthy and delicious recipes, inspired by the amazing fish from Scotland’s 14th Oldest family business - George Campbell’s and Son Fishmongers, beautiful cuts of meat from Simon Howie Foods, Scottish cheeses that are carefully selected for us by Clark’s Speciality Foods, free range eggs from Fife Creamery, delicious dairy products from Graham’s Family Dairy and oh so much more!
