Celebrating 75 Years of the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo at the National Museum of Scotland
This August, the National Museum of Scotland hosted a very special dinner to mark the 75th anniversary of the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo. Held in the magnificent Grand Gallery, the evening celebrated Scottish heritage, hospitality, and creativity in true style.
As one of the catering partners for National Museums Scotland, Heritage Portfolio was delighted to provide a menu designed to reflect the best of Scotland’s larder. Guests enjoyed a selection of seasonal canapés followed by a beautifully crafted three-course dinner, paired with exceptional wines. Each dish showcased locally sourced ingredients, bringing a true sense of place and authenticity to the occasion.
The Grand Gallery was beautifully transformed by the talented team at Planet Flowers, who created stunning arrangements using blooms grown entirely in owner Gemma’s flower garden. This sustainable, personal touch added a sense of magic to the grandeur of the setting.
Guests were also treated to the unforgettable experience of the Tattoo performance itself - a spectacular highlight of Edinburgh’s cultural calendar. It was an evening where fine food, cultural heritage, and breathtaking surroundings came together in perfect harmony to mark seven decades of one of Scotland’s most iconic traditions.
A heartfelt thank you to the National Museum of Scotland for including us in this memorable celebration.
