This iconic Cathedral was designed in 1930s to have one of the largest crypts in the world by Sir Edwin Lutyens sadly it was forced to abandonment after the Second World War leaving it to be the enormous and breath-taking crypt today.

Once inside the underground events space there are a number of options. Firstly is the The Lutyen’s Crypt, where you will be left enthralled by the sheer scale and beauty of this versatile and well-serviced space. It has recently undergone a £2 million renovation;  with fixtures and fittings you would normally expect from only a modern facility.

Secondly The Pontifical Hall, which houses the Cathedral’s amazing and glittering Treasury, makes an excellent setting for drinks and canapés receptions. Surrounded by  displays, pictures and photographs of the history of the Cathedral as well as audio-visual presentations recalling the story.

The Concert Room is an ideal setting for concerts and recitals with audience seating for up to 250 people. Equipped with an adaptable and accessible platform and tiered seating for instrumentalists or singers, it also has a Steinway grand piano and an excellent PA system.

Alternatively however, the Concert Room is also a splendid venue for dinners for up to 100 guests in an intimate atmosphere. It can also be used as an exhibition space with its dedicated track lighting system.
